hi bro.

honestly i wasnt a big fan of the whole "spotlight" street pictures in your earlier pages cos it just seemed like pictures of random people walking into the light, but your later pictures are awesome!

more story to tell, more feel too.

This is a great shot! I don't do much people shooting (I shoot little kids). Can I just ask how you get around to be front facing and snap a pic? Won't the person mind?

Thanks bro. :)

I think she would definitely mind if she sees me. I know I would. :)

I did a shoot and scoot technique. When I saw her with her eyes closed I went in front of her, took a shot and then left. The area in front of her is more than wide enough for 3 people to pass side-by-side so no problem with the space at all.

I guess confidence plays a big part. I doubt I'll ever get these kind of shots. I don't dare!

great great great use of the fisheye.

Thanks a lot man.

I find it more exciting than my main walkabout lens now (a 28-105mm f2.8 ). At 8mm, it really forces me to engage with my subjects. I'm still feeling very uncomfortable getting very close and it's also evident from the frowns on their faces that the feeling is very mutual.:D Hopefully, I acquire the proper techniques as I go on.

My only gripe is with the very short focal length I find it hard to do minimalist, which is something I'm very fond of at this moment (big props to bro soulFLY).

Thanks bro. Glad you liked it. It was a test shot of what I would have done for the actual shot.

I had originally planned on getting something without spectators for a minimalistic feel, but this initial attempt proved to be a bit dangerous. Thus, I wouldn't be doing it anymore (or at least I think I won't). :)

It was done with my camera/fisheye mounted on a tripod, raised overhead and triggered via a wireless remote. I kinda underestimated the weight of my set-up and I ended up getting very wobbly causing the uncles some scare. Me and my friend nearly got decked because of my stunt. :(

Anyway, although I wasn't very satisfied with the outcome, I'm pretty much proud that I'm the only one who has this kind of take. :)

Wonderful shot bro. I was wowed by the colors and symmetry already, and then I noticed a face inside the window... double wow, pre... ang galing!
