I guess some people way of judging if you're experience is by the gear they're using. More expensive = more experience.

There is noting wrong if TS state want to know what gears the candidate are using.


even he is requesting 1D plus L lenses, or D4 plus pro lenses, noting wrong too, if he is paying the photographers accordingly.

Nothing wrong, very basic question.

Basic Eg. If u only have ultra-wide, then you will not be suitable for some shoots that requires closeup of speakers etc etc.

If you only have basic kits lens, then TS may rather hire someone with faster lens esp. when flash is not allowed..etc etc.

Esp not all pg uses flash, some seem to think just push iso will do..so better to ask.

Of course expectations shd oso be reasonable lah. I have met people who are more concerned with whether using D4 than viewing portfolio. And then problem is that the job is paying so low to even warrant renting one or even requiring D4 for the right reason..
