Evening at Marina Barrage

Usually you can tell the experienced shooters apart, by the way they handle their equipment.
They will usually appear very confident and work quickly, like it's second nature to them.

Stand near them but don't get in their way first. Try to sneak a peek at what kind of settings they use. Usually if they use more serious cams, there will be a top LCD display, so you might be able to sneak a peek at their settings. Let them shoot a few shots first. When they look more relaxed, you may ask away...

It was my wife's first photo outing with me so she was curious and giving advice at same time!!! (She the EXPERT one! lol) Guess she's gotten the bug already. Maybe shopping for a new camera soon. Hope something new comes out soon ... no way am I getting the 1D Mk IV!

It was meant to gather attendance for the (already over) marina barrage outing.
I guess the TS forgot to close the thread.


Anyway, in your photo, the water in the reservoir should all be spilling out of the right side of the photo... ~hint hint~

The horizon is not horizontal. The right side of the photo is a fair bit lower than the left. So, by the force of gravity, all the water should be flowing out the right side like a waterfall
