My attempt on night shoot using a DSLR camera.
Appreciate if you leave some comments and let me know what can I improve on the attached image.

a good image. If I have to nitpick, it would probably be a missing foreground interest. But it's still fine as it is.

care to elaborate on foreground interest?

Nice try I would say. First look, the Blue steals focus from the explanade. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments. Now that you mentioned it, realised that the blue do take my attention away.

umm maybe this is just me, but if you could crop out or erase the small red light to the left of the esplanade?
it catches my attention and im quite sure u didnt want that it as a focal point at all :]

keep it up :D
cheers

Appreciate you dropping by, thanks for the tip and comments.

Will work on the small details to enhance the picture.

Nice pic..but i tink if u lower down the ISO will be better. a bit grainy to me
But still good job

Photo looks fine to me - good exposure, well-balanced, nicely composed for a landscape. Grainy, noise? hmm.. photo does not look grainy at all on my 24-inch monitor and high resolution setting, maybe yr monitor resolution is set too low?

I believe night photography is for shapes and colors, take out the red or blue touches and this photo will lose its sparkle and become lifeless... as it is, the red n blue don't dominate, so it is acceptable. Some may not like the small "hazard" warning lights, but they add to the overall scenery, don't they? Nice reflections.. Who says newbies' first attempt cannot look good? Good work! :D

Appreciate for all the tips, comments and advice.

Still have much to learn from you guys.
Hopefully I can come up with more nicer pics in future. :)

Very good first attempt!

Ritz Carlton is tilting to the right. You could either correct in PS or get a spirit level to make sure that your cam is properly leveled.

Other than that, good exposure.

I would have gone a little wider and zoomed back to get the reflection of the water.

Point taken note. I was actually looking for a better position and angle to capture the full reflection. Thanks for the tip n comment.
