Hi everyone
Another newbie in the house
had a few questions...............
Been saving and now am looking to invest in a camera system
Am really intrigued by the Rf option
Leics M8 sounds brilliant!
However budget constraints are forcing me to look around a bit more
to describe myself: im primarily a wideangle shooter (landscape and architecture), love candid street photography as well, with occasional frays into other subject matter. Experience wise id call myself an amateur. Though ive owned only p&s cameras ive handled(a month or two at a time) a decent range of film slrs (primarily olympus om)
Why rf? (If ive understood correctly)The pros which interest me right now are portability, accuracy, more involving photography experience and IQ. Could maybe add simpler Dof control also to the list.
Build quality ie weather resistance though is also an attractive attribute that i appreciate in cameras
Digital: sounds good so as to avoid post processing hassles and economy
So that narrows the options down to M8 or Epson Rd1 (any upgrades/newbies expected soon?
nikon rf maybe
.....heard a few rumours)
Was wondering how the image quality of the Epson compared to the Leica m8
Cant find anyone close to me that has either
ive read rave reviews regarding the 'unmatchable leica colour', '3dimensionality' etc..........how much difference is there really?
Again budget constraints(primarily) also caused me to eye the present dslr lineups. the olympus and nikon dslrs specifically. maybe even the pentax'es(?). When i focus on the dslr option, the Oly E3 keeps popping up.
Again the same question Image quality? how does it (oly E3) compare to the RD1 & M8?
(oly colour seems to be as famous as leica, and apparently it seems theyve worked out previous noise & Dyn Range issues with the new sensor, and its beautifully customizable)
I know image quality can be a highly subjective matter. Just looking for opinions not necessarily proof or hardore-analysis etc Also not looking to rile people up by asking dumb questions.
If these really are stupid questions I apologise in advance, its possible i really am stupid
but still please bear with me
I guess i should also mention im looking at print sizes upward of 11"x14". and im not overly averse to grain/noise if its present in an appealing manner
thanks in advance
regards
adi
