Hey all,

Just wanna ask if anyone knows of a place in Singapore that can CLA a RD1S as well as fix some issues, namely the viewfinder alignment.

Any info or help would be most appreciated. Thanks!

From what I hear, Japanese Exposure (google for the site) might be willing to liase with Epson in Japan to get your repairs done. You however have to pay for shipping to Japan where they are based and to get the work done.

If however, your issue is not one of the electronics, you might be able to talk to Chiif to do it, since the rangefinder part comes from Cosina if I recall.

Old man at katong does it

Call camera hospital. He can do it.

is it is mechanical or alightment issues only, steven from camera hospital will be able to fix it just fine. turnaround time is fast too!

Upz for Steven in Camera Hospital, a nice and friendly chap when I sent my RF for servicing.

Thanks Guys!

I'll think and see if I dare to DIY, but if not I'll try Camera Hospital.

I think if you sent it back to Epson SIN they still do product support for it? But most likely it will be shipped back to Japan?

To adjust the alignment of the viewfinder is easy. Just follow the step from the turorial. I did mine vertical n horizontal alignment. No a problem.

I'll recommend Camera Hospital too. Just got my Zeiss Ikon back from alignment. Looking good.

Here's an article with some pictures on the top plate removal and subsequent adjustment of the rangefinder. May be helpful for those who are thinking to try adjusting themselves. Just be careful with the little pieces. I've tried it before and it can be nerve racking. The adjustment is also the most time consuming to me.

Good luck!
