ppp is privilege purchase program offered by canon singapore. You need to 'trade in' a canon camera for a new camera. the trade in camera can be old, working/non working, digital, film, compact/dslr...so long as its a canon.

Worth only if your old cam is of little or no value.

you need to go to the service centre to enquire. over the phone they dont tell you.

hmmm ok then i think it doesn't apply to me anymore since my 7D dont qualify and i dun intend to sell.

do you mind PM me offers for M you have enquire so far?

$470 for kit 2. Its about 15% off the price from canon website. So i think the same applies to kit 1 and 3 perhaps.

I had 18% off when I bought my 60d and 650d.

Not worth to trade in expensive camera. better off selling in the buy and sell.

Any reviews on the EOS M AF now ?

Fast enough for smooth videos ?

show this promo video, seem like the AF improved alot, too bad not in Sg.

Looks very much better in terms of focusing. Wondering if I should consider buying one back since I will be visiting HK end of the month. But looking at the price now it seems really high.

Just checking if anyone here know the price for the EFM 11-22mm lens selling in SG?

Sorry cant help you with the price of a brand new copy of the 11-22. I think a used copy transacted at about $450 in BnS last month. Would love to get an original EOS M and 11-22 as an ultra portable landscape setup. =)

$500 local set.

Not much saving to get in HK.
HKD 3000 +/-.

Yes. My next setup.
Very light for landscape, should cost < $1k with eos m + 22 + 11-22.

 Same! For landscape the AF doesnt really matter so I'm def okay to go with the original M instead of the M2.

Thanks guys for the reply. In this case I can consider scraping the ideal of buying the 11-22 in HK and buy it here. I check through the HK pricing on the net and yes, it is in the 3000 +/- range. Not much difference from SG if it is selling at S$500 here.

I guess I must be missing something... I recently bought an EOS m with latest firmware already installed... I so far have used it with the supplied 22mm my 40 pancake stm. 135 f2, and several other eos lenses including an EF 300 f4 is... I have have absolutely no problems with the spead of the AF or any other problem for that matter. At least its good enough for me... I do not expect it to be the do it all camera, but its sure great for travel and general carry round... I am sure the M2 will be even better... but I would say that the original M is an exceptional bargain right now... (buy it and forget bout the M2 till the price drops a bit)... course I am used to using older gear... I still use couple of 5D (classic)s... a pair of Fuji s5 pros...Olympus EP1's (2 of them)... Panasonic G3... Nikon D40 (infrared)...etc... Oh well... I only shoot for a living...ha ha. cheers
