EOS M2 announced!!

Er... one silly question here. If no one knows, thats alright.

But when Canon said that the new EOS-M2 AF speed is 2.3 times faster than the EOS-M... does they mean, before the EOS-M newest firmware or after the newest firmware? The new firmware had more or less increases the AF speed pretty significantly and so it is usable in my opinion. If the M2 improve that speed by 2.3 times... then it will be kinda fast... might even be around the same as the Olympus and Panasonic mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras.

for AF comparison with old EOS-M firmware 2.0.2

Main question: Will it be available in Singapore?

Main question: Will it be available in Singapore?

Why do you think it will? They didn't even announce it here. So far it's Japan and China only.

Maybe there is some delay for certain countries?

email and ask canon sg then

I thought that's already common knowledge since it got announced. ;)

If they are not selling in those markets, will they sell in Asia markets? If yes, then why exclude the former markets?

Although I dun understand the Japan words. But looks nice. Too bad no EVF.

Any idea is EOS M2 coming to Singapore?

In English,

http://www.canonrumors.com/2013/12/a-new-eos-m-with-evf-second-half-of-2014/

The main points from the conversation

A new EOS M3 camera could arrive in the 2nd half of 2014 with an EVF
New EF-M lenses are coming, though worldwide availability isn’t mentioned.
Canon is considering a prosumer/professional mirrorless camera
Video performance will be a key feature of future EOS M development.

Is that a dream come true?

(Nah... hoping for a FF mirrorless interchangeable lens camera like the Sony A7/ A7R... and I really don't mind it having slightly slower AF as compared to the current OMD).

Hope it will be more than a rumour.
Certainty sounds good.

So EOS-M2 is only AF revision of first EOS-M with new AF systen and this AF system will be use on next generation of EOS-M may be with EVF & may be full frame sensor.

NOT coming to Singapore
