Now i feel like flying home and update the software!

Just can't wait!

Just updated to the new firmware, wonder if I can use this as an excuse to purchase a 17-55 f2.8 ;p

Updated also.. Gotten so used to recording using an AGC-Disable setup (cable + mp3 tone) and a very loud amplified mic..

Now suddenly find that my audio keeps peaking non-stop...

Have to re-learn recording without the automatic gain... Haha...

Hi,

Sorry if this is a noob qn, can I ask that after new firmware upgrade, big black rectangles of its AF system, are they still there? Thanks!

What big black rectangles? U mean the grids? If refering to the grids, then, yes... they are still there.

Ooh, thanks for replying... Just curious... EOS7D users u all got any problems shooting with the grids on in AF?????? Cos, I planning to get a 7D for myself. Replies appreciated. :):)

What kind of problems are you referring to?

The Grids could be 'remove' by unselecting it from the camera menu... :)

its available in the sevice center already. just done mine.

Seems like now unable to do burst when I am on live view shot, it just hangs there , is it just me????

Hello everyone.
Just got back from Cameron Highland using the updated firmware on the 7D.

Im not sure if anyone experience this, but after taking a shot, the loading time for the preview image takes longer than usual.
And the Red indicator light keeps on blinking.

Ive used my 7D for 400+ images with no problem or any lag-ness. But with the new firmware, around 200/+ images the camera start to show the laggy part.

Btw, all images is in jpeg,
32Gb UDMA 60mbs card.

Anyone face the same problem?
:)

I experience the lag .... Not sure why but kinda regret upgrading...

I upgraded to Version 2 last week. Don't have any of the problems mentioned here.
BTW. After flashing the firmware. Do you guys folllow the instructions given by Canon?
The procedures are;
1. Power OFF the camera
2. Take out the battery
3. Wait for a while
4. Insert the battery
5. Power ON the camera

Maybe this will help.:)

Did follow the instruction, but still when not using view finder, it wont burst ....other than that nothing major liaoc

Change AF mode to Quick mode???
Change Silent shooting to Disable???

Give up trying liao.. Hah

Anyone having the camera hang after the v2.0 upgrade. Read up on the web tis tend to happen due to the auto shut power off function. I'm having this issue and wondering am i the only one?
