Will wait for COMEX show next month at Expo.....to see the freebies.;)

Just saw the TK- foto FB, the stock are in wol.

Will be looking to testing the 70D as well. Seems like a nice price to begin with

Hope to see the 70D eligible for the priviledge purchase program from Canon soon.

hmmm i will go molest this at vivo when i am there! :D

Its in the Vivo showroom already. Tested it over lunchtime. Feels good. Nice and compact. Seems to focus quite fast.

Yes, and use the savings for better lens. It'll be lighter too. :)

By the way, spec pages don't mention micro-AF adjustments. Looks like this feature is missing.

They have unless they decided to take out that feature from their production model.

The 70D does include AF micro adjustments for use with the traditional AF system.

http://www.cameralabs.com/reviews/Canon_EOS_70D/

It offers a more capable 19-point all cross-type AF system (vs 9-point all cross-type), faster continuous shooting (7 vs 5.3fps), built-in Wifi, broader viewfinder coverage (98 vs 96%), a touch-screen, the choice of movie compression, deeper bracketing (seven frames vs three), AF micro-adjustment, a choice of movie compression and a couple of extra Megapixels to boot.

Oooh then that makes it all the more OMG what a buy!

Thanks for clarifying :)

The EOS 70D makes the 7D looked bad.

Very impress with the spec. Waiting for hands on and see how it feels. Haha

The 70D manual from Canada site: http://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/5/0300011965/01/eos70d-im-en.pdf

micro adjustment - see pg 377

Ha Ha... I was at the Canon Showroom this afternoon to test the new 70D and asked one of the staff members that very same question. He said that MFA did not exist in the 70D.

I remember that there was such an outcry when Canon left it out of the 60D model so I was curious whether they had put it back in with the 70D. I'm very happy that they have put it back into the 70D.

Yes, but let us not forget that the 7D was introduced in 2009 making it a 4 year old camera. I would prefer to think that the 7D2 will be a very competitive and sought after camera once it makes its debut.

If the 70D can be this good, then the 7D2 may be much, much better... let's hope for the best. :)

Can someone comment on the noise level of 700D vs 70D? Thanks!

I am now a new owner of the 70D camera. Feels good.

One disappointment: PD AF in live view does NOT work for third party lenses. I have a brand new Sigma 30 f/1.4 DC Art lens. It uses PDAF for quick adjustment and falls back on the utterly slow contrast AF for fine adjustment.

However, conventional AF through viewfinder is accurate and fast for the Sigma lens. It works much better than the 7D camera I used to own and the spanking new copy of 7D in my office.
