my guess is $1699-$1799 body only. Is it plastic or alum charsiew? Can't seem to find it from the article.
looks like i can throw away my 6D already?
sensor simi dual cmos?
somemore digic 5+
and all cross type AF?!
what advantage has my 6D left?!
Can someone help me! im looking to get a nikon D5200 but i dont know where to buy it...can someone recommend. btw how much does the dslr cost? body only and with lens..? would really appreciate it if someone can help me out. thanks
I like the new AF which is good for video.. Canon is great this time!
The sample images that shoot with 10-22 are terrible bad at 100% view. The detail are smudge or bad post process. The rest are impressive especially the ISO3200 shoot with the new 24-70L II
The improvements on the 70D seem to be very much geared towards making it a good video camera. The new 19-point AF, and 7FPS are better than the 6D, but unless you use so many AF points and 7FPS on a regular basis, the 6D will definitely have much better IQ, better low-light high ISO, and better bokeh with f/2.8 lenses, than the 70D.
The camera that has been made redundant is actually the 7D. But then again, the 7D is due for refresh. And if you have a 7D, it's still good as ever for still photos.
Sigh.
My 7D...
Redundant...
Retrenchment beckons... LOL
If the 70D is this good, can't wait for the new 7D MkII.
Well, it took almost 4yrs to become redundant.
So it was a pretty good pruchase for me.
If the 70D is this good, can't wait for the new 7D MkII.
However what I am surprise now was that Canon had taken a departure from her normal and usual ways of doing things. They normally like to come out with a higher end body first, then a step down to a cheaper and more 'affordable' body... like 7D then 60D (in between there is the entry level 550D).
I am a little surprised too as this will take away sales from a higher end and more profitable body. Canon probably felt compelled to respond to the D7100 and the 7D2 will only be out after the D400 is out.
I believe the Digic 6 processor had already been completed, what I don't understand is, why this processor was not introduced into the 70D (since it had already found its way into a couple of Canon's PnS camera, but up till now... none of the DSLR - be it 700D, 100D and now 70D, had it).
You reckon we will see the Digic 6 in 7D II/ 8D?
