mirror slapping is softer than 5D's, but sounds a bit weird. :sweat:

Sounds different, but when I got used to it, I feel the Mark II actually sounds nicer. In any case, the mirror sound will never be that important that it becomes a deal breaker.

To me the sound's hollow though. Anyway, overall performance is very gd. :thumbsup:

Taking videos on the 5D2 is quite a bit more involving, mostly because you have to control the focus yourself. It gets easier with practice, but still hard work compared with a regular videocam.

Thanks, Flyer, that helps me with at least the video part! i noticed that when an item is not so user-friendly, i use it much much less -- turning into big-time procrastinator out of dread! lest my enthusiam for videography gets 'dis-triggered', i'll go get a HF100 first.

I got it overseas.

But using the EP-EX15 eyepiece extender will make your viewfinder look smaller. It's just for clearance between your nose and the LCD.

To some people, the clearance is important. Viewfinder is not going to be significantly smaller, it's only 15mm and the magnification will still allow you to see everything within the VF.

The ep-ex15 does make thing look smaller. Have 1 since my 1ds. So I remove the lens inside and things look big again . Seems like a waste.

Yeah some modified it like this but it'll still look slightly smaller due to the clearance.
