Guys,
Based on first-hand experience. What can you say is the most significant improvement of your camera over the older model?

For me, the MOST significant improvement over the original 5D is the HD video recording.

Big advantage: Live View and AF Microadjustment.
Smaller advantage: Higher/cleaner Mp and HD video recording.

Thanks for the replies guys. Quite tempted to get one now. :)

By the way, can you shoot while recording video or can you record video while shooting at the same time? Thanks again.

the ISO noise level is amazing! i shoot without flash most of the time now indoors... and images are superb! HD video with the bokeh effect is very nice... 2 of my friends bought it after seeing the demo

what is your ISO at indoor? mine is mostly around 3200k. just want an opinion. Are u happy with the noise level ?

I used mostly 1600 D+. Some bumped up to 3200 with D+. Few at 6400 without D+

Very happy with noise level. Actually wasn't the reason why I got it. But it was a bonus.
Was familiarizing with it yesterday.

Here is one at ISO 2500. ( Of course this is resized, u probably be able to see them up close )

LCD monitor, absolutely. 1) Sensor cleaning is displayed 2) Superb silk smooth. it's better than any large size LCD monitor.

DOF something wrong looks unnaturally.

tilt/shift lens. Tilted

then how, tilt for what?

1)used in architectural ---------good, beyond people's experience
1)used for life, especially people----------not so good, out of people's experience, uncomfortable.

Yes and no. Yes, you can shoot photos while recording video but no in that the video stops temporary for about <1 sec before it resumes video recording again.

Hi, can ask if the location of AF points of the 5D mk2 the same as 5D or more spread out?

Thanks..

It is more like the subject has moved away from the pt where it was being AF. It this case using AIServo will probably help. However, I find 5DM2 AI servo is still not as good even with 6 assist AF points.

As I mentioned in another thread, compared to the mk I, the AI servo seems a tad snappier compared to the mark I even though it is essentially the same focusing module. (It could be due to the digic processor or the new camera algorithms.) I shot an entire sports assignment with it and had no problems at all covering it which is extremely surprising given the reputation for being a "slower" camera".So yes, the 5D mark ii can do sports even! At its price point, i really have nothing to complain about.

Here's an example, which I posted in another thread on the performance.

sighh.. that's a bit dissapointing cos I tot that's one area that need improvement..

At the moment I find the 9 AF points of 5D too centralised and it's a problem taking full body shot with wide aperture lens cos it'll be quite easy to go a bit OOF even when you use the AF point at the tip and then refocus..

not much diff if you ask me...

Ya lor, having the same problem even at F1.6 or 1.8 sometimes, let alone your 1.2 hehe.
I also wished canon could improved on that. Borrowed a friend's 1Dsmkii to try out recently, and I still find the 45pts too centralised sometimes.
