If someone brave enough to try it. it may best can share the trial out experience here.:)
Yeah i second that.. thriple that...

We love the good, bad and evil that came out of the 5DmkII... and how (if anyone) totally wreck its 4K gear while trying to to fix it with the lesser EF-S!

Are you looking for someone to try and share the experience of using EF-S lenses on the 5D2 or are you looking for someone to wreck their 5D2? Seems like the later leh...

Anyway, EF-S lenses on APS-H and FF sensors is nothing new, not even on the 5D2.

hi my fellow 5d2 friends,

my comp (mac osx leopard) can't seem to display thumbnail images of the 5d2 raw files on the computer. i do have the camera raw plugin on my cs4 so i can open them up in ACR. but im unable to open up with bridge.

anyone experiencing the same problem?

Actually, the choice is obvious base on price, image quality, sensor size...

:):):)

What's so obvious between the sensor size of the D700 and 5D2? Aren't they the same?

Nice read.. and not just because I own the 5D2. Though the image quality on the D700 could have been affected by the 50/1.8 compared to Canon's 50/1.4 (even at f/8), the ISO test appears better for the 5D2. Not sure if it's better coz of the down-res to 12.1MP.

Hi all 5DM2 owners, need some help here.

Wondering if anyone know what is the price for battery grip from Canon showroom?
Seems like everywhere is out of stock. :(

Why not wait for another week? Stock should be in this week :D

Really?
Cos friend is looking for one to be use this weekend and a bunch of us planning to get that as a gift for him.

It will be good if the stock really come in before this weekend.

Thanks for reading my comment. It should be RESOLUTION not sensor size. Is that OK?

Precisely that its nothing new... that people still checking if EFS works on the FF..

I can only shared that I did tried EFS 17-85 on the 5DmkII... but its reverse "held" to test some macro... not bad lah.. but I would still encourage all to try out proper macro lenses or have a proper (reverse) mount.

intersting... i've been wondering what to do with my 17-85 :)

Anyway, i have the C5D2 since christmas. Can add me to the group list :)

Hi everyone! As u can see i just posted my first clubsnap post even though I've been reading the forums for quite some time now..

I just got my 5D2 yest hehe. I have some questions for experts to answer...

1) Which speed CF card is the best for 5D2? I'm asking wrt video recording function, like if i use a extreme II CF (133x), will it be fast enough to read and write?

2) I bought a OEM battery yest. Voltage 7.2. Mamp 5500. The guy told me it has higher capacity as the original canon one only has 1800 milliamp. Is that true? I'm afraid the battery may ermm damage the camera haha. But the OEM batt is made in Japan though...

3) I wanna get a filter... if i use the lens hood, using a UV filter will be like double protection right? :D I'm thinking of polarised filter, but cant decide between circular or just normal polarised... probably getting a HOYA. advise please? Is it ok to take most photos with polarised filter on? is there like a multicoated kind which still allows majority of light through? Can i still use the lens hood if i use a polarised filter?

Thank you for reading =)

Nice.. New to photography with a 5D2. Here's the quick and dirty.

1) According to the MANUAL, 5D2 only needs 8MB/s CF card for video. If you want to know different CF card performance on the 5D2, go to http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/camera_multi_page.asp?cid=6007-9784

2) Yes, 5500mAh is bigger capacity than 1800mAh IF (and that's a BIG IF) the 3rd party battery specs can be trusted. Somehow I just don't think 5500mAh is even possible for the size of the LP-E6.

3) Lens hood and UV filter serves 2 entirely different function. You can only use circular polariser. Yes, you can take photos with a polariser filter on, else why would anyone buy polarisers? Last 2, sort of yes and yes but..

Hi, Where did you get the OEM battery and how much of that? Thanks :D
