Theoretically no. However the counter guy didn't bother to even check (however my camera already had a big dent). Furthermore, definition of working can be quite subjective - as long as in need of some repair (which may be economically not attractive) should suffice.

That is about $120 off from retail.....for PnS trade in still okay. For DSLR....may be a repair is more worth.

kengster, how long do you have to wait to collect the new camera, including the diagnosis time (of your old camera i assume) ?

also, are you able to pay via creditcard?

hey, collection should be within 10 working days. u cant get ur camera on the spot.when u go there, just tell them u wanna go for the privillage program, they wont even check ur camera. just spend area 5 to 10 mins filling up some forms..and they will call u when camear is ready.

Kit 2 is only 1667. not sure price is updated already not. i got mine just last wk. love my new toy.;p

but there's no freebie to come along with. except the lens book and one 8gb card.

yeah man..and guess what? i trade in with a canon prima zoom shot! i cant believe the price when i called and check. so i rush down immediately on that day..haha..
