eos 500D crush limit

its for the post count .. for the post count .... Hai .. things ppl do just for that

Well, then he needs to be a little more creative...or maybe he really is that unlucky?

:dunno:

Just enjoy taking pictures and be more cautious next time. :)

You seem to have a lot of posts on "mini accidents" with your camera.
Are you joking around with us? Or really simply over paranoid?

'Bo liao', 'Sian' or whatever only TS know. We can only guess from his posts record.

One more post count for me too. Hahaha...

The best thing to do is test it then if it works, maybe its just a fart and not a cracking sound....if it fails bring to CSC for repair. Its that simple!!!!:dunno::dunno::dunno::dunno::dunno::dunno:

LOL@ this thread.
how would u accidentally sit on a dslr anyway? quite hard to plonk urself on a big ass camera D:

lol... interesting thread. like what they say, try it and use it till you face problem. i believe no one ever tried testing their crush limit on their camera before...

While TS’ question is no doubt odd and rather superfluous, some of the snide comments here are no doubt mean. 'could have made your point much more succinctly and much less sarcastically. Makes me wonder about the intent of those posts.

Looks like you need to read up on the TS's post history.

I think TS is basically a very careless person. If you put your camera on the sofa, what do you expect will happen....it get sat on.... if you don't hold the lens properly, it will drop.....

If the camera was on a soft surface, like sofa or bed when she sat on it, it is probably okay, Also depends on how hard she sits on it, if she merely touches it and immediately retracted, then probably okay. If she just throws herself hard onto the sitting surface, not so good. Was she hurt? Other factors include her mass and whether a lens was mounted and whether the camera was sitting on its underbody or facing up or facing down.

At this rate, a ton of us will be Senior Members very soon. Then CS will have to have a Member Mentor category.

My mom recently sat on my 500D and it had a cracking sound. WIll it spoil?

I think even though your mum made that cracking sound, she should still function properly. Try talking to her gently.

Time to upgrade. I suggest that you get a 1D Mark IV for higher 'crush limit'.:devil:

I know full well what he’s posted. MY point is NOT about what he’s posted, nor am I defended his actions. Rather its how CS is becoming more a more a place where even the slightest provocation leads to flurry of rather impolite and sarcastic comments. So as long as some one trips up and fails to meet your lofty standards (and isn’t one of your friends) you have the right to verbally lash out at him? I think not.

I’m not supporting what TS is doing. I’m urging a kinder forum with more restraint. (Even though I know i’ll be unpopular for this).

One rebuke is enough in any case. And TS has received more than that. Lets close or leave this thread.

it is going to self destruct in protest.

to prevent it from doing this, you have to kowtow to your camera 20 times and ask your mother to apologise to it. :bsmilie:

please don't tell her that a kor kor on cs told you to do so.

Kor kor or Ah pei.

did you check if it was the camera or your mom that made the cracking sound? did you ask your mom if she is ok?
