Enquiry on Lenses compatible with the Lumix GF1

I have done just that, and all I can say is that the X14-42 lens is simply great, and sharpness-wise it is as good as, if not better than the older 14-42. Am very pleased (and amazed) with the results. The camera body I used is GF2

I see...but any word on the compatibility with GF1?

Wow ... 500mm! Results good on the G1?

Except in pictures with obvious user error, the pictures turned out good. Mostly just did moonshots.
Not possible to handhold shots as 1000mm without OS.

of course got some difference lah ... but at approx. 1/5 of the price and a more compact form factor ... isn't it a reasonable compromise?

Haha, no time for that and really not necessary. ;-) Just go to the Tamron homepage for example and check out their focal length "simulator".

I can't update FW for my HFS014042 (LUMIX G VARIO Standard zoom lens, 14-42mm / F3.5-5.6 ASPH. / MEGA O.I.S)

Body FW: v1.2
Lens FW: v1.0

Copied file to SD card, update menu will pop up. But after pressing "OK" to start upgrade, nothing happens.
Anyone knows what could be the problem?

Haven't been able to get significant savings in the 2nd hand market, thinking of just going for brand new instead.

AFAIK all shops in funan would offer u ard this range of prices..
take awalk ard and who knows it might be even cheaper.
hope u eventually got one.
