Still quite standard amongst the main shops :)
Probably a difference of a few dollars if u bargain really hard.

For May the promo is that u get an additional batt (original) and a 64gb Sandisk card, maybe if u can wait ; IT show then might give something better.

any idea if any special pricing for em 5 mkii with 12-40mm pro lens?

dont know if this phenomenon is unique to the EM5ii, I took with pic (with Sigma 60mm f2.8 DN art lens) and there are like bands of light in my picture which pretty much ruined all my shots

Is this normal or is something wrong with my camera? Or is it just a setting that I should have adjusted?

Usually see this if you're using electronic/silent shutter.

There's a warning about this in the manual:

You can try turning on the 'flicker reduction' setting.

Anyone buying Em1, Em10 or EM5ii, if you are looking for win-win situation where both benefits, ie you take the camera body (plus whatever free gifts) and I take the 12-40 F2.8 lens.

Those interested & genuine in a win-win situation, pls PM me

Thanks

Think currently only EM1's have 12-40F2.8 as its kit lens.

Thanks so much for your insight on this!

I knew it got to be user problem! (me) lol

Took well over 2000 shots on a single charge today. Of course most were on burst mode

Just wondering, when they rate the battery as 300+ shots, do they mean with flash or sth like that?

can check out cipa standards how they test battery life here. burst shots is not how they would test it. page 4 show how it's tested.

Hello, the EVF sensor is too sensitive. Every time I go closer to the LCD to view the picture, it switches to the EVF

Is there any way or hack to reduce the sensitivity? It is still more convenient to have the auto sensing (rather than using the button to switch between EVF and LCD). Great if it will only switch to EVF when the face is really close to the camera.

I tried sticking tape (translucent type) but doesn't work - the translucent tape method work on Sony's camera :). Appreciate if anyone have any trick/tip to share. Thank you.

Why would you need to go too close to the LCD to view the picture? It's convenient to have auto sensing but sometimes I hate it

I very shortsighted lah so need to see the LCD without my glasses. With glasses, can see properly.

Sorry, I meant with glasses, cannot see the LCD well.

Wear glasses la! Alternatively, what I do in bright sun is I keep my eye in the viewfinder, then press the playback button and look through the viewfinder

Haha, yeah. I am wearing glasses but progressive (old already) so usually see close without the glass is clearer ;)
