feel dreamy !!

Just curious, why did u position the model on the right third of the photo, and looking out of the photo? no offence.

I get what you mean. I had quite a few tries at this. Placing her on the left, middle, right, looking towards left, right, at camera etc. But somehow I like this one more leh. hehe.

I can't comment on your liking. However, from the photography book, it look odd.
During your next model shoot, try to take from the left third, and at a lower angle, and ask the model to look out. See if it is better.
Remember, the colour are important, but your composition are just as important.
What does the other think? Cheers.

I usually refrain from speaking like a master if I do not have a portfolio of one.

Thanks for the pointers. There's certainly room for improvements to the shot.
Composition was taken into consideration to a certain extent actually. This place was sandwiched between the expressway, HDB flats and condominium. I don't have 360 degree angles to choose from. ;)

Nice series. Good control of the lighting.

just some thoughts..
photography books will teach us alot of things.. compositions, lightings, etc etc..
however.. these are just guidelines for us to follow
as a photographer... we know the rules.. and we learn to break them as well..
if all of us follow wat the book teach.. then all photos from all the photographers will look
the same.. then to me, it really takes the fun/enjoyment out of photography
its all about individual style, and how to make your picture stand out from the masses..
its about creativity too..
especially in this sub-forum.. after a while... dun you think alot of photos looked very similar from each other ? probably bcos everyone have this certain mindset, that they have to follow certain rules of photography..
certain compositions looked odd.. becos we have not seen it before.. or we have our minds set on certain rules.. maybe that is also why sometimes, photographers have their own favorite images, whereas their customers will like images that the photographer reject.. cos the mindset is different.

as for the images.. i would prefer the editing done for the 2nd image instead.
