EF 50 f/1.4 USM

Only complain is that that lens could have used circular aperture blades for better bokeh.

You wont be paying with the current price anymore

Lens gonna reach 1K if it is a 50mm F1.4 IS Ring USM. lolx

Nothing compared to 2.2-2.3k for a 50 f1.2L where the only saving grace is the "luxury" of a ring usm and "L colours & contrast".

Luckily, the 50L has bokeh that has to be seen to be believed.

Hmm.. did you see the bokeh from Sigma 50mm f1.4?
At 1.4, the bokeh from this lens is very smooth and creamy, but some people might not like it since it is too smooth. ;)

5 blade round aperture mightl still be cheap.
Look at the 6 blade round aperture 18-55mm IS kit lens. (up to 2 stops iirc)

I'm not sure about the Sigma 50 f1.4 as i'm not too interested in non-specialty 3rd party lens. (No issues with the 12-24 mm though, it was very good)

A sample of the 50 f1.2L USM, do let me know how it compares to the Sigma 50.

nice nice...50 f/1.2L is good. no doubt. and 50 f/1.8 is good for it's price. 50 f/1.4 is good for it's price. 50 f/1.2L is good for it's price. it's how much u want to invest. =) if u wish for 50 f/1.8 to have creamier bokeh...pay more. wish that 50 f/1.4 has a better AF and build? Pay more.
