EF 24-70 f2.8L

i got whole set of primes but picked up a 2nd hand 24-70 to check out if i can live with it. primes may be nice, but can be troublesome.

but its odd... so many 24-70 selling on forum suddenly.

maybe there are so many people using this lens also, so that no weird if there are so many people sell this lens whether to change their range of photography or maybe need a cash? :embrass:

I also see that there are just as many 24-105 lenses being sold. Is everyone abandoning full frame?

regardless FF or crop, its a good solid robust lens which I carry for all general purpose.

It may not be the best match for crop frame, but its still good.

I'm not selling mine

ermm i am complaining cos its no joke carrying it with a 5DMKII + 24-70mm f2.8 L + occasionally a 580EX II for events shooting (luckily not using a battery grip yet!)

Totally agree with that! Went to a company event last weekend and had tried my friend 5DMKII + Grip + 24 - 70mm + 580EX II
After about 45 minute of shooting I give up on the weight because my friend camera don't have strap just hand grip attach. If I had this setup i will sure put up a nice strap to support some weight. But I won't be mind if I bring this setup around to take nice photo and enjoy photo shooting.

Well I had this lens on my camera since I bought it(I got a new one), weight wise still OK for me even I had grip on my camera. And I just went oversea 2 weeks ago with all my equipment, carry them always wherever I go. Really was happy and enjoy the photo shooting. You will not complain to your setup when they bring you nice, lovely photo. happy shooting...

Does not seems to have IS.... but guess it is time for this to be launched!!

Interesting.... I would assume that since the IS technology is already patented, they would not have to include it here.

I am not sure about the IS...

The title was EF 24-70mm F2.8 II...

If have IS, cost would have been much higher.........

Finally bought my own 24-70... Saw it in Amsterdam for €964 (after tax), which works out to be about S$1,700... Price too good to resist!

Strangely though, the 70-200mm f/2.8 II retails about S$3,000 there... Not much savings as compared to the 24-70...

enjoy this very good lens..

my 2 cents i tat it is too heavy for some and also it is too narrow on apsc.
