Perhaps this real happening is a real test for the future
improvement of our educational system in our country.

The fact that it has been told in a discussion forum
like this so openly proved that things have to be changed.
It is one very good method to make changes. :thumbsup:

Have been and seen such behaviors already.
These people standing in front of the schools or classes
have little clue as to how to serve the students instead
of sticking out their tongues to misbehaving students.

yea. indeed. i feel that this has gone possibly too far. yet then again, i have doubts. if his ex jc already have so many problems. with posts on how ridiculous their principal was, why was he not already been taken care of? isnt it more likely that he has a backer who is covering up stuff? if this is so i see no point of u nightmare trying to forward this link.

just curious - how can you be in a top school when the first batch of students haven't even take their A levels yet? new IP school?

cant be my old secondary school, they got their first batch of a level results last year. aiyah my old DM also like this, very communist one. haha

we can be top sch via our o lvls scores ~~ and yes its ip.

But in any case, schools never have perfect bell curves. If not you'll see half the student population fail.

well. i'm basing my calculations on the stats we get from our report cards, hence i'm not too far off from our predicted results. i basically took the highest and lowest, while i try to make note where is the upper quartile since i have the percentile for a certain mark, and try to figure out what is the most possible upper and lower quartile. then i calculate from there the possibility. and i think it shld be quite accurate. though its a lot of estimation.

our ip requires us to only take higher chinese o lvls. the rest is internal.

then shld it be corrected? but what if principal has backer? does it mean we are doomed? and that our moe system isnt transparent, all the comfirmation given to us by the gahman abt clean transparent government is empty promises?

i hope someone from moe stumbles upon this and do a indepth inquiry. i think this does deserve such attention. afterall, wont u have doubts abt singapore once this happens? world class education system being reduced to insults from principals to students? or that we are not human? or the elbow rule which was long banish since the age of dinosaurs came?

this are the questions that i hope answered. at least by the end of today.

do u have faith in the moe education system?
is such a principal acting in this way befitting?
is a so called: strong approach better than a soft one?
is upping the lvls a good thing? raising the bar for a dual a2 and above?
and what about gender issues? elbow rule in a sch where students are actually close and always interact with each other?

i hope u all will direct ur attention here. and if u arrive at the conclusion that something shld be done, what shld be done? how shld it be done? is there any possible legal implications.

this shld at least steer where the topic is going.

and i would like to add. there are concerned parents who actually ask me if it was dunman high. i think it is good enough that there are people who actually care abt it. afterall, ur sons and daughters are going to study under this system. or even ur grandchildren if ur lucky. i believe its time to actually pay more attention to this.

I dont remember my primary school headmaster anymore but I remember all my home class teachers.
I still remember my junior highschool headmaster. We nickname him white goat. Cos he has white goatee and black hair. We speculated his chin works harder than his head. He was funny. He is dead now. He died of old age. Some of my school friends speculate his hair was still black when he died.
I still remember my senior highschool headmaster. We nickname him the godfather cos he look and act like one. He was not funny, but that was ok cos the chemistry teacher was funny (substitute). He is dead now. He died of heart attack.
I dont remember my faculty's dean. I have no idea about his status now.
