Any different editing photo in PC monitor compare with laptop? any std brightness to follow?

Standalone monitor is so cheap now it's best to get one and calibrate it properly and use it for your photo editing. Plus the screen is bigger.

I find my laptop screen hard to calibrate. For one thing it seems I couldn't adjust the colour temperature.

buy a monitor that connect to laptop?

IMHO, laptops are not the most ideal to get accurate colour because of the tilt and viewing angles. If you use a proper calibration tool like Spyder or X-rite, there'll be a process during the calibration to tune the brightness. Laptops don't usually have contrast adjustments though.

I am using laptop now, if that the case get in a LCD monitor to edit photo?
