Size same doesn't mean the sensor is the same. Like size 8.5 for Nike shoes and Adidas shoes. But I'm not sure if is the same or different sensor.

All FT cameras have similar sized sensor - the size of the sensor is 18×13.5 mm (22.5 mm diagonal), with an imaging area of 17.3×13.0 mm (21.6 mm diagonal).

But not all the FT cameras use the same sensors.

The E-3 and E-30 uses different sensors. Both are made by Panasonic with the E-3's resolution being 10 MP and the E-30's 12 Mp being the greatest difference. Other difference are less obvious including wider DR etc.

Pretty much,E-1,E-300,E-500,E-330,E-400,E-410,E-510,E-3,E-420,E520,E-30,just all different,like E-1 having Kodak,I think E-300 too,E-500 also if i remember correctly.

E-400 not sure,but E-410 and E-510 and beyond all have live mos sensor,E-330 not sure but as stated,all different

I believe they're different,probably same design,but E-30 probably tweaked to be slightly better than E-3's.if there were any new sensor in the making,it's probably reserved for E-3's replacement,that's how i see it anyway
