Any link to the prices?

But I do not think we can get such good price in local.

cheap than E-1 launch price...good news, 1.5yrs later it also can drop to same price at current E-1 at 700-800+:)

I agree that these prices seem low. The website: http://shop.kitamura.jp/GoodsPg/8434-001002001005-001002001
quotes the same price as Yodobashi, however my friend says they give discounts for members (what ever that entails, I can't read Japanese).

So I have asked her to double check those prices and get back to me what is required to buy at those prices and if they are willing to ship to the USA for me. Maybe I have my hopes too high. :bsmilie::bheart:

Will post when I know more.

If I remember correctly, BIC Camera gives points for each purchase and when you build up so many points, you can apply them toward another purchase. I don't know whether you have to pay for a membership, like Best Buy or Barnes & Noble bookstores.

I think the original poster's pricing is correct. I too obtained the same pricing from another Japanese shop. However, it could end up much more expensive because
(1) Postage cost of sending the item to Singapore
(2) Remittance fee and buy rate of Japanese yen

Bear in mind that the shop only sends to Japanese address so you need to get a friend to receive and forward to you. Note: The quoted price does not include ground postage in Japan.
However, I understand that for Japanese pre-orders, there is a limited edition dry case. (no pics though)

thanks for the info.

what about tax? can claim tax return if he/she is a foreigner staying in japan?

forget to add, tax how many %?

i believe you must be a tourist to do so.....
even my sister who went on an exchange programme there can't do so cos she is on study permit...

I believe SG price would be at least 15% higher.

don't think they refund the consumption tax(5%). Never see any refund counters at airport or heard of anyone trying to claim refund. Hence, I think there is no refund.

they will not give u refund. but on the spot, they discount the price for u.

but not all shops will bother to do that...ie..take down the passport, fill out the form..etc.

May i know if the Flash has international warranty?

The body price in SIngapore will probably be like the new D300. About $2900. Give and take.
