Hi Dynax7 owners,
just a short question about the autofocus full auto mode.
My Dynax 7 always start hunting if i use this full-auto AF-mode with some landscape scene where most of the upper image part is filled with bright blue sky. Seems like the camera CPU cannot decide for one of the 9 AF sensors as soon as the upper sensor is located in a bright image region... As soon as I select any of these sensors manually the autofocus works without problem for the same picture. This problem is independent from the choosen lens (24-105, 24-70/2.8, 80-200/2.8) and -- very strange -- does not appear on the Dynax 60! I supposed the autofocus to be the same in these two cameras
)
Is this a bug of my specific Dynax7 (2-3 years old) or is this a general Dynax7 problem? Is there something like a firmware update I missed? The camera has already been updated one time for this lausy VC7-vertical-grip bug (memory D3 erased whenever the VC7 was switched from external to internal power supply) :angry:
In fact in my opinion the full-auto AF on this camera is quite useless -- i never got satisfactory results with it. I always had to switch to the center cross AF for moving objekts and lock on the desired AF sensors for landscape shots... :think:
