Thought I'd post this here FYI.

I'll be getting the 7D here for NZ$1900 incl GST (12.5%) so that makes it NZ$1689 ex gst. With current exchage rate, it's less than S$2000.

I'd expect the prices in S'pore to drop soon.

that works out to around $1980. The latest price in Singapore was $2160 b4 gst with 1gb card. minus the 1gb card the price is around $2050. which is not that far off from $1980.

That 1GB card is worth $120 I think... so price should be $2030

About the 1GB CF. That's just extra cost if you don't really want it right?

I got my 7D yesterday at NZ$1900 and haven't had a chance to play around with it much yet but on trying it out with my Tokina lens last night, the inbuilt flash was giving 1.5 to 2 stops more than necessary so all shots were terribly over exposed if I don't compensate the flash down. Changed to a Minolta lens and it works fine at 0. Still needed exp about +0.7 though as it's a bit under exposed.

Lots to learn!

Yes. If you're buying from out of NZ, no GST too.
