I am not considering DSLR. But I am torn between either a Nikon F80 or the cheaper Minolta Dynax 5. What is the price of the Minolta Dynax body and a basic zoom lens? How do the two (nikon f80/dynax 5) compare? One thing I like about the Minolta is that the adapter for M42 screw is much cheaper, so does that mean I can use back my M42 screw mount lens? That would be a bonus.
And I notice lens nowadays(the kit ones) do not come with manual focussing on the lens barrel. How does one actually manually focus?
get an equote from cathay for the exact price. i think dynax 5 with the 2 lens is about $615 (date version). F80 probably same price or more for body only?
the lens can manually focus. you'll need to switch to manual focus and focus like any other lens. sorry if i didn't interpret your question correctly.
