DSLR Videography Equipment

I'm so excited :D I ordered products from Edelkrone before they came out with this letter

edelkrone® – Open Letter from edelkrone

I saved on 20% off their products and free shipping cause of Black Friday!

Now that I have my rig, next is to get my camera. I've been patiently awaiting the arrival of the Panasonic GH3 to our shores. Still waiting in horror for the price and I'm afraid that it might make me too broke to continue this interest.

I was contemplating on Sony's alpha DSLR as I've heard some good things about it on this forum. But I haven't quite decided yet.

And also I want to add a couple more things to my arsenal such as a boom mike and a screen for starters.

Any pro can point me in the direction of a shop that gives great deals?

Depends on your taste ;)

I prefer quality and service than competitive pricing. Cathay Photo is very reputable. Their video equipments are from expensive brands. If you're looking for cheaper options, head down to sgcamerastore at penisula plaza, they have cheaper rigs there.

I've got no issue with rigs, its the monitors and mics I'm looking at. I hear ye, and will consider them. Thank you!

its the same.

A99 has a tilt screen and supports optional XLR mics.

I'd go with Sony A99 or Nikon D600.. Can record externally .. You can try provideoglobal they have redrock micro, que audio and visualize screens

What do you mean by record externally?

The thing with Sony DSLRs are that they can only use alpha lenses right?

blackmidnight probably meant record through HDMI output.
