Dry cabi is not that expensive lah compared to your camera and lens. I am using the Digi-Cabi AD 40L, able to put 3 bodies (30D and 2 old film SLR), plus my gear(see my signature) plus a EX580II, 3 more lens, batteries, filters. Its now quit pack already. Might upgrade to a 60L or 80L as I am expanding my collection  Pay more to get the DHC model if you can so that you can set the RH as it is digital controlled Vs the AD model where you have to set the RH by turning a knob, but once you set it, it should be ok unless you change the amount of items inside as this will in-turn affect the RH . Dry Cabinet is the single most important item in protecting your investment as once fungus grow then it will be too late liao. You can use the silicon gel but you will have to change it very often in our humid climate. In the long run it will still cost you money and lots of effort. Anyone interested in my 4 month old AD 40L can PM me ya
