Don't be cheated by active foto's price list!

today I went to active foto to buy a sandisk ultra II SD card but i had very unpleasant experience.

I watched their price from the priceguide for several weeks. From their price list, I found they sell 1GB sandisk ultra II SD card at $48.9 and 2G at $65.9. very good price in singapore. But when I ask their salesman. They told me the 2G SD card is $110 plus, (I can not remember the number exactly), and 1G SD card is about $64. When I showed them with the price list they distributed, they said the price was wrong on the pricelist. But how could they put the wrong price on their pricelist for weeks? It cannot be considered as a mistake.

And when I ask them to give me a piece of 512MB notebook ram, pc 2100 which is S$80 on their price list, they told me that the price was S$95, and S$80 is a bundle price. BUT, they never indicated it on their pricelist, and they are not selling any notebook using pc2100 ram!


IT IS CHEATING!

IT SUCKS!

I hope all the friends visising this forum will not be cheated again by this shop in the future!

Hey! Something like this just happened to me yesterday! Went there to get a Black 2gb Ipod Nano (for someone overseas). On their pricelist it's listed at $298.90 but on the pricetag it was $315. When i asked the guy he said something about only hardwarezone members can get that price... Then after some bargaining he gave me $304.50. Yes, not much of an increase but still, very misleading!

Err.. I don't have the card. He gave me that "special price" after I was visibly hesitant after he told me that the price on their pricelist was only for the HWZ card holders. :think:

i have been buying sd cards from them for friends overseas and the price is accurate as per the price guide on HWZ +/- $1-$2.

go to the outlet on the 4th flr. the shop is has indian chaps and sometimes a middle-aged woman and and an old guy. My experience so far has been ok.

Some AF outlets do not stick to the price so beware.

I find Best Bargain in #05-02 in Sim Lim get the best bargin for MCard. Just got my 1G 50X kinston CF for $75.90 yesterday, Anyone get a better price than it? Pls let me know

Got my 1G miniSD card and 1G SD card all from them there. Did not call them or check price from the internet prior to that. Just went all over sim lim, did some comparison, found them to be cheapest, then bought from them. Card still good!

I think the point is not whether the card is slightly cheaper than that in some other shops. The point is they cannot use cheaper price on the paper to mislead the customers and actually sell them with higher price!

They have to be honest! Otherwise they would deserve a very bad name.

And by the way their actual price is not always cheaper than that in other shops. For example, they chargered me the pc2100 ram (512 MB) at S$95, but eventually I got it from costronic at S$88.

do you mean 2G? from their price list 1G is 46.4 and 2G is 80.9

does not cover it cos active foto not an authorised dealer
