also, i give the audience a chance to see fresh work at the banquet by displaying the shots of the day in a slideshow, simple one just use ACDSee or even the windows picture viewer in slideshow format, just gotta spend a bit of time on the laptop in the hotel room during the break to prepare it.

Never new the beauty of 'distortion' could be utilised as such. Making me quite gian for 12-24mm now. If your maximum was 24mm on this body, did you have another body which you had maybe a 24-105mm range or something like that? Can't imagine whole time shoot with 12-24mm.

i also used a afs24-85 for the portrait shoots. actually i had a 50mm on a few times... not much. all with one body, just change lens. at first i thot was gonna be quite tough changing from 12-24 to 24-85 thruout the day, but realised i don't wanna change lens, and can "push" the 12-24 by forcing myself to go in closer, hence the difference in style. believe me, i dun usually shoot this up close and personal as well. :sweat:

sky_dew, thanx man! we're all still learning. the best experience is to just go and shoot, of course as back-up/kelefe photographer first. start with friends and family, bring ur cam along, and stay out of the way of the main/paid photog.
alot of things can't really be taught, and the most obvious one i can think of at the moment is interpersonal skills.
robinng, yeah the 12-24 does things to u.. lol. there's as many good and different shots that can come from it as there are bad. no matter how good the lens is, the very wide perspective is still there. have to be careful with it. that was my first time using that lens, so i also have lots to learn with it, if/when i get it. ;p
vince123, i can share, but hard to explain without showing u on the computer also ehhe.. there's two main parts, the radial blur and the colour. the radial blur part, i quick-masked out using a very big soft brush the area where the rings are, and did a radial blur.. i think the setting was around 30-40? then, using the same quick mask, i used H/S/B to change to the bluish part. then after that just use levels and curves to tweak.
