Yep. I softened it intentionally. Hope you like them.

actually softening the pic is a technique used when there was no Photoshop then, and its useful to mask flaws for women especially, but given Dominique's skin is pretty flawless and Photoshop is available, somehow i feel there are better ways now to "soften" the flaws than to soften the whole pic. But thats just me, maybe u like the feel, so to each his own. My favourites among them u already know, and they r the sharp sharp ones:)

Sorry bro, can you elaborate more? What do you mean by drop shadow, and on which pic?

the shadow on the right & bottom of the pic :) r u using photoshop ? care to share how you do it please. thks

My 10D? Still going well with 3 rounds of shutter count reset, now on the 4th round. :)

You had the shutter counter reset 3 times? So what do you reckon is the total shutter count now?

Yes bro. I prefer the feel of some of her pics in soft mode, and I don't think she needs to undergo through any softening of the face. If I were to do softening of the skin, I'll not deploy it throughtout the entire pic. It's just the feel I prefer though.

Oh...you mean the shadow. You use PS, create a layer and work on the properties of the layer. Nowadays I use automation, so sort of forgotten the exact steps to take liao...but try to work on the properties of the layer.

Good to see you shooting again bro:)

Bro, nice series... nice to see another model shoot from you... how are you, bro?

哇, 稀客稀客! Long time no see bro!

I'm fine, just that I'm too busy with work to shoot. Got some free time these few days then go join a shoot loh...

Time to catch up with our Lancer shoot leh...:bsmilie:

I got my 10D as a new set, so I reckon that my shutter count should start from zero. 1 cycle is 1000 shots, so if it has been reset 3 times, I should be shooting at around 3000+, which means that I'm not shooting a lot. :(

Pic 5 is my favorite in this series. One key element missing in most of the other pictures is catchlight, which is pretty important when it comes to... pretty lady portraits. :)

Wow, only about 3000 shots? Are you absolutely sure? Didn't you shoot Chew Ling with you 10D? And other models with the 10D as well? If you are really confidently correct, then I agree that you shoot way too little.

Anyway, the reason for me asking is to find out if your 10D has exceeded its lifespan of the rumoured/published 50,000 shots. I want to know if anyone has a 10D that has gone on strong and well passed the 50,000 mark.

Unfortunately, I didn't use my flash that day. Thought of using only natural light with a fast lens to capture such a beautiful lady. :)

However, that's unlike me, as I prefer using flash in my pics.

No I'm not!

It should be 30,000 instead of 3000! What has gone into me...

It's still going fine for my good old 10D, so I'll work toward the rumoured/published 50K mark! ;p
