Thank you for the comments and compliments.

For the last image, I had thought of the concept of her trying to widen the door, resulting in this pose. Nevertheless, I'll take note of your comments and try to avoid that in my future shoots.

My 10D? Still going well with 3 rounds of shutter count reset, now on the 4th round. :)

I see symmetry, rule of thirds, unusual perspective, nice use of ambient lighting and nice use of a reflector. Basically, it's the skillful execution with all the hallmarks of a pretty girl shoot by Virgo. (You caught my attention with Chew Ling.)

In the last image, the model had locked one elbow straight, and it doesn't look nice. Otherwise, all the images are generally pretty.

Just to side track a little, what's the shutter count of your 10D now?

Good portraiture not always need to pay lah...with your skill, anywhere also can shoot excellent portraitures!

no money for model shoot....

nice series, except for #4. that pose n with the dress, does not flatter her beauty.

These 3 are my favourites:)

Some pics a little soft, u deliberately soften it?

Thanks for the comments bwilly. This shot was taken with a total symmetry in mind. With a different pose, I won't be able to achieve that.

If you can suggest some pose that will enhance this symmetry, that would be great.

Thanks bro.

Yes, I purposely softened some pics. May I know which one you're referring to? I'd like to know because for some of the pics, I used the 85mm 1.2L for testing. He intended to buy over from another of his friend. So if you can point it out, he can re-look into the quality of the glass again. ;p

I saw from the other pics, she seem to have a nice figure, this pose seem to suggest otherwise.

Eg. if you can put her hands more up, on her waist, pulling the shirt, emphasis on the "V" shape.

Original pose, seem to suggest she has a very flat and straight figure.
If you look at your other pics, those that are nicer ones, they are body half shots (of same dress)

Like I mentioned, the dress does not compliment her since she's not a full bodied lady.
I duno what you called that, a belt like clothing thingy to tie around to showcase her shape.

Just my two thoughts.. :)

Thanks for the invaluable comments and suggestions bro.

Yes, she indeed has a great figure, just my fault for snapping on that very quickly, as it's not a posed shot. She was waiting for someone to pose her while I noticed her doing that. Will be more observant in the future. :)

just my crappy thou, I know at times this kind of shot, unless you have her attention for 100%, not easy to get the pose you wanted. If u dun shoot now, its never..

like I mentioned the dress fault, seem to me like a maternity dress. so this dress, half shot will looks nice, but not full frontal shot, side ones will look good if pose is good.

My PS job.. something like this in mind.

Sorry not using my graphics tablet, so its quite a rough 5-10mins job.
Add soften to cover my rough job.
Just my personal preference. Dress should compliment the model.
Hence we pay for it when we shopped. :)

Special thanks to Modelinn in organising this shoot. Super photogenic model. Super relaxed in every pose. C&C welcome. All photos here.

Hi Virgo, can u teach me how to do the drop shadow of pic plse, r u using PS CS2 ? :)

Thanks for your comments bro. Yes, I was contemplating too, cos if I increase the contrast, some shots will have their hot spots getting bigger. I'm a middle key person, so...

If anyone can suggest how to increase the contrast and still maintain the hot spots of not letting it grow bigger, that would be really nice.
pmed u...

Sorry bro, can you elaborate more? What do you mean by drop shadow, and on which pic?

I loved 5 and 6. 5 for the simplicity and 6 for the expression. Overall, good series.
