quite a nice take.

the idea of using "rubber bands" or strings to bind certain parts of the body to make it look as though it was a doll/mannequin has been long employed and i think last year's vogue italia and other mags or was it last half of year had a run using this concept in black and white.

your model did act her part well.

Maybe it was too much of an inspiration to copy the outfit completely, but i'd have thought that abit more flesh and those rubber bands would have made it more convincing.

But its a good attempt!

the place if i'm not wrong is OCH?

This pics are simply amazing, like the idea, mood, and poses. Thumbs up for a good model that can relate to what the photog wants to create.

Dude,

Very nice concept! Getting the concept great is 1 thing but bringing the concept to blend so well & understandable with the label "DOLL" is very good! Wish there's a good copywriter to add in the TOUCH! Well done!!:thumbsup:

g-khoo, Godzilla Invades: Thanks.

plsoong: Thanks. Didn't know on magazine part, I rarely pick up fashion magazine to read through.
What do you mean by abit more flesh? Need a meat-ier model, so that the bands look more realistic?
Its not OCH, some other buildings around the area, which I have no idea what.

Sjourn: Thanks. Actually the truth is, I was asked last minute whether I'm free to help her with her last minute school project, dateline a couple of days ago, I'm totally clueless what's the theme about until I reached there. Just put in this way, the shoot didn't started off smoothly at all, we had to improvise whatever we could, I'm surprised that there are decent shots for the outcome though.

surflim: Thanks. I actually piece the concept, after I looked at a few photos at post-processing stage. I could add in the description for each pictures, but I would like to see whether my concept work, as in does anyone can come close to the story I had in mind or not.

its a very nice attempt...i love these kinds of shoot...the makeup took very long to do i guess...a simple hairdo and makeup that time for my gothic model took 1hour plus to do....to me i find it very cool...good work...keep it up...

Very good job ! Some pics are really giving me the doll feeling.

I like the attention to the details like the strings on the articulations to give it a doll articulation impression.

Keep on sharing !

Shiro,

What draws me of your pictures, like what u mention the story of the picture which is to me very crucial. The Quote: "Every pictures tells a story". And this tells a story. With a little copy writes will give u even more impact on your pictures! :)

Your particular series of "Doll" giving me a kind of story where she is been just "recently" been deserted or lost in a remote place, deserted which in a way been left out by her owner & she was lost in another world from the usual nicely Doll world it should be. As she looks still very new.

Probably you can start a part 2, where her make up, dressing is taken in a tanish way where its gives a continue story that she have been that lost in that place for quite some time.
Where the model make up may have some cracks or chip off kind of looks, u know.

Haha sorry if i may have mislead the story or your concept. but your picture is very well executated.

Oh yes if possible add in the script rather than the description will be better. Is like how creative director in creative ad agency gives the story of an ad.

Thanks!

westwest2, Loupisk, Gunbucker: Thanks. :)

surflim: Got some part of it is correct, from your perspective of my concept. I will post the concept story description soon.
Doubt will have a part ii, but it may not be impossible, will discuss to my friend regarding this.
Thanks for taking time to comment and suggesting ideas.
