Tried it already! My camera still in good condition and new. Only when i take off my gripe than it give me full charge??? I think my gripe must be something wrong correct??? :dunno:

did you clean the contacts in the grip's batt compartment or the contacts of the grip to the cam? maybe clean both? your batt put in both slots in the grip also same?

yeah sounds like contact problem with your grip, try to clean it. if it still doesn't work try taking out the 'empty' batt from grip and put into camera without grip, does it still run? are they extremely hot after using in the grip?

IF it's hot and are empty even after you remove the grip and put the 'empty' batt straight into the camera, maybe there's a short circuit somewhere in the grip. time to get it serviced...

Alot's of user don't know the problems, though that is the batt ran out very fast or the power consumption is very high!!! But actually is not hor!

Are you using Minolta batt?

I have similar experience with eastgear NP-400. Happen every now and then, not all the time.

I sent the Grip in for service for the same reason. but taken back with same issue as if nothing change, but the reciept stated as change "chip board".

I even ask if there is any extended warranty after the service, the reply was no. it which it was 3 days before my warranty for EVERYTHING expire AFTER the collection... how to test if there is fault after 3 days....

Now have to have it without the grip... if Sony came out another better DSLR, i might stay with these set of lens, if not, Canon or Nikon, here i come...

Do you mean you changed a new grip or send it for servicing?
Now mine suddenly got this problem.
How much you paid? My warranty over already.

Probably long liaoz the contacts on the grip cannot 'eat' with the contacts in the camera so u see it dying out very fast when it still has a couple of hours of charge worth?
