Does the launch of D7100 means the death of D7000?

D70? That's a camera more valued than some of the later models. There are some use for it that others could not do. At least not as easily done.

Sure but why would anyone pay for that? I rather buy a newer model.
 

D70 has an extremely high flash sync speed, this one spec is very significant if you do a lot of daytime strobing.

how come? IMHO D70 is indeed still a very capable camera for weddings or even for studio use...

Where did I say it's a bad camera? I didn't. I just said I wouldn't buy it in 2013.
