Does NSC service/repair grey lens?

A FYI to the people here. Nikon can from the serial number run a trace and can tell you who where and when the piece of nikon gear was sold to from Nikon. For international warranty to be effected they (nikon) requires you show a reciept from the vendor in the country you bought this from. Buying from a local company that is not an authorised dealer may mean you bought effectively a grey set since, they will never give you the foreign country reciept they have. Most MO organizer have a reciept for each item they resell, you will get a foreign country receipt that Nikon accept to activate the international warranty.

Hi, since all nikon lens have international warranty, why is that still such thing called grey set for lens? Does it matter where the lens is bought from? Aren't all nikon len made by nikon themselves?

Why is this thread a "sticky" anyway? Who decides?
