zhangyb said:Just to add on: the new lock up is due to a hardware design fault, namely a design problem with the vertical grip. The portion of the vertical grip where you push into the battery compartment is a tad too small and in certain circumstances causes contact problems and then err99. So far I had encountered the problem once but no more ever since the last incident. Problem was quickly solved by re-insertion of BG-E2 plus a bit more tightening on the knob. Not exactly a big problem in my opinion though.
