hey, I did not do much adjustments, just used a LR3 preset (cant really recalled which), minor contrast and shadows tweaks and basic sharpening. Thanks!![]()
hey, what is a LR3 preset? any idea where i can read up more![]()
Hey, basically i'm using Adobe Lightroom 3 for practically all of my images, near 99%. Find photoshop a hassle hahaA preset is a pp style that is pre set under a particular name. In photoshop if im not wrong its called an action.
E.g. Adobe has several default ones such as monochrome and vivid. If you google for more, there are many other interesting ones such as cross-processing (lomo style), acid burn (for the desaturated look), B/W (Ansel adams preset is one you can try) and the list goes on...
I mainly use that as a base the roughly get the look I want and fine tune from there, thus each pic may have slightly different tone and color cast to suit the mood or intended feel.
oh okay, so if i want to achieve such effects i should get Adobe lightroom 3?? thanks![]()
LR3 is just one of the software available for processing, some use photoshop, other swear by Aperture or even use freewares like GIMP etc... Other prefer simpler easy to use s/w like Photoshop elements.. I say just try out a few and see what works best for you.
LR3 is perfect for me as it allows me to edit in batches without much fuss. The learning curve isnt that difficult too. Try googling to find out more, HTHs! Hope to see your pictures soon!
i see, is yours an available preset? or you made urself? its really nice
Boring Dragon body becomes an art or abstract with your unique angles!
this caught my eye out of the bunch..really nice...the kids eyes...sense the playfulness in him...nice colours...you work with with a digital rangefinder?
thanks! haha how I wish I was (black M9 with a 35 ASPH FLE) but I'm just making do with the D90 and the 35mm DX. Most of the shots taken in the last 2 pages were with this combo.
aiya bro, all same la, can shoot can already
Anyway your shots are really good, slr, dslr or rf doesnt matter.
I choose rf because dslr is kinda heavy for me, I'm quite gu niang
thanks for appreciating bro! but the problem is that I always visit the RF section and kena posion by all the stuff thats in there, the mechanical beauty, precision and classic allure.. :thumbsd: very bad for the wallet.
Btw are you going for thaipusam this year?
hahaha!
Ya, I got quite a strong chrome body & chrome lens poison, its been quite unhealthy for me lately!
Thaipusam prob not going, weekday lei, gotta take leave from the office.
