no complains for Sigma 85 1.4, but sold it eventually for 85L.

I used 18-105, 35mm F1.8, 55-300mm then after i tried the tamron 17-50mmVC. I feel more confident on the result...(First time using 3rd party lens.) And happy with it)

I used Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC OS HSM for my everyday walk about lens. And it is really nice. No regret getting it.
So I will use both 3rd party and original lens depends on which is worth the penny. :)

I like to have good DOF with lots of bokeh thus considering to replace my 18-55 kit len... wonder which of the following (which I am more comfortable with the price) would be a good investment... comments are appreciated...
1) Canon EF-S 17-55mm f2.8 IS USM (2nd hand as new over my budget)
2) Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 EX DC
3) Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 IF EX DG HSM
4) Tamron SP AF 17-50mm f2.8 XR Di II LD Aspherical (IF)
5) Tokina AT-X 16-50mm f2.8 Pro DX

None of the above.

You need wide fast prime lenses if you want thin DoF.
