Do you trust students?

There shouldn't be a special price for students. (I'm a student too) We should learn to spend within our means, and stop feeling entitled to benefits just because we're students. If we wanna buy lens/bodies/flash, we can damn well go and work part time to save for it. Camera gear is not a necessity, its a luxury.

hur hur, as Dedalus said though, i am grateful to those sellers who are willing to reduce their prices a little due to the fact I'm a student/i come from the his alma mater etc. but somtimes i do insist on paying the agreed price as a matter of principle (sometimes. haha! depends on the condition of my wallet)

Totally agree with you bro. Everyone were students at some point of time. Just have to be realistic, afford what you can. Students need DSLR for schoolwork? Possible though, but i'm sure the school would have a few pieces for loan. Nowadays P&S cameras are quite sophisticated too, ISO/Aperature/Shutter/Exposure/WB all available for adjustment. If the discount asked were not ridiculous, i wouldn't mind though.
