I can't find the RAW setting on my box of Fuji Provia 100.

Fuji tells me it's not supported and that I 'must get it right the first time'. I am so scared. Skali I bobo shooter then how?

Shot in RAW - not so much as JPEG is a waste of time leh :bsmilie: but to try to extract the best results as much as possible.

what do u mean by saying not so much as jpeg is a waste of time leh?

I am full time RAW shooter. From RAW, I can edit and save my photo into JPG, TIFF or other format without compromising picture quality. Nowadays, the price of CF card dropping like crazy, I don't see a reason that the storage is expensive. RAW RAWKS!

just started shooting RAW 4 days ago and am loving every bits of it EXCEPT POST PROCESSING!

i shoot raw + jpeg medium. the jpeg is if the picture needs no correction that raw can do, and also so i can see the thumbnails. Raw doesn't show up as thumbnails on my com. zzz

I took some raw and some fine Jpeg. I am having problem burning raw in the CD. Can anyone help

i think RAW aint that diff to process right? CS3 can do everything within the same dialogue which was really really neat..

i think its really saves alot of time when shooting RAW during post processing..
exposure and white balance can save alot..

99.9% of the time, I shoot raw. 0.1% must be I switch wrongly to the mode. :bsmilie:

I don't understand why I need JPEG to be done in the camera ? Unless I have short of memory card, perhaps that's the only motive.

I prefer to let my computer do the conversion. I think it will perform better than the camera. Because I store my jpeg as lossless compression :)

RAW allow for quite a few recovery process which JPEG doesn't offers.

Its RAW for me.
Unless I'm in a hurry then I shoot both RAW+JPEG.

yup... Raw is the way to go.. especially since card prices have been coming down while their capacities have been going up...

I always shoot RAW, and also I love raw Japanese food - Sushi.

I use to shoot JPEGs only but ever since getting Lightzone, I've started shooting RAW.

I shoot JPEG most of the time as no time for pictures manipulation.:)

I belong to the 2nd category. Only shoot RAW when it's an important shot. Most of my pictures are shot in jpeg. Jpegs are smaller and easier to handle and process.

Nonetheless, I do acknowledge the limitations of jpeg and do shoot RAW when I have some devious ideas for that shot.

Same as most people, shoot in RAW for important tasks like once in a lifetime things. But sometime also shoot in RAW as quality of picture does not degrade when saved.
