try the chinese fabric merchants at arab street, Spotlight sells the most expensive fabric.

look for AiBee (i think the spelling is correct). The Indian merchants usually sees expensive silks.

I want to buy Material for Curtain (not those very thick kind) normal Cotton material will do.
And Skirt Lining... and sewing Machine Thread and needles..

it's AIK BEE, better be smart when you buy from them... they quite good at raising prices.

U can try Ban Joo at Boat Quay. Check the yellowpages for their address.
Usually Ban Joo quite nice people and willing to let you bargain.

yeah this is the one.
Personally prefer to deal with Ban Joo than Aik Bee textile Co.,

If you do want to go to Aik Bee, try not deal with the older generation....

Just my personal view.

If you are not buying in large quantity, go to the nearest, if not the transport fees and time wasted is not worth it.

I am not buying alot.
But will go see see.. Bugis and boat quay is convenient for me ^-^
