"Do you know the world?" --Competition--

I think I will have to salute the next person who manage to guess the correct answer. :bsmilie:

Erm haha, I guess I 'killed' the thread - nobody is venturing to even guess!
Wait for a few more days then upload a couple more photos, though I doubt anybody's been there (for pleasure) unless you have an opportunity to travel there for work!

A couple more images:

Landmark - area is generally low lying so nothing much stands out.
Perhaps the tall building in the background of pic 1 (give-away if you zoom in!) :)

Pelton Road, London, England

Good shot XavierShoot, but that's incorrect.
Thanks for the commendable effort though - you are the first to try! :)

Another good try, laokayu - still incorrect but getting hotter... ;)

Zhuhai? *Random stab in the dark...*

Shanghai, Huashan Road, Silver Exchange Square
上海市, 华山路, 汇银广场

Ok daredevil - you got the city right! Good job! :)
Now for the name of this precinct - quite distinctive actually (since there's nothing much in Wuhan haha!)

*Hint: there's at least one other precinct development of the same name in another Chinese city.*

And thanks to CamInit and coolthought for your random stabs and measure shots! :)

Xintiandi?

Good job Jasonteoch, you nailed it! :)
Xin Tian Di, Wuhan, China
You earned your turn for the next post.

*apologies for the photos though - as you guys can tell, I am no photographer... and a long way more in terms of practice*

Cheers!

Those 2 words should be Japanese Kanji, and related to a (Shinto) shrine of some sort...
But I have absolutely no idea where or of what name.
Pass!

yes, you are right. this is related to a shrine in japan.

*Hint: The place when it is standing now use to be a shrine but after something happened, the remaining structure just remain as it is and the surrounding now are apartments and houses.

Nagasaki?

yes, you are correct. it is located in nagasaki.

This stone "torii" was built as the outer entrance gate to Sanno Shinto Shrine. The Torii gate for the Sanno Shinto shrine was complete before the atomb bomb dropped on Nagasaki - the blast tore one side of the gate away but the other still stands complete with a portion of the top balanced on it's single leg.
