It's one of the oldest cities in China with more than 3000 years of history and home to a super-duper famous UNESCO site.
Xi'an?

81 sq, nanchang city, jiangxi province.
Half correct. You only got the location but I'll give it to you. Proper name should be Bayi Square 八一广场, commemorating the Nanchang Uprising on 1st of August.
Google Map
Add a little bit of background for this shot to make things interesting. Bayi Square is the second largest square in China after Tiananmen. The memorial you see at one end of the square has the words 八一南昌起义纪念塔 on it. The other end is supposed to be a musical fountain but I didn't catch the action when I was there. In the older days, the square used to be a popular spot for activities like kite flying, dancing, taiji and gathering for families and lovers. Nowadays with television, Internet and other distractions, the square is no longer as busy as before but you still spot people holding activities in smaller groups. A flag mast stood in the center of the square on a raised dais which is out of bounds. The police patrolling the square will chase off anyone who try to get on, usually couples attempting to take pictures. The shot was taken with the dais immediately behind me so what is shown is actually only half of the square.
ok, Entertainer, your turn to post.
