Do You Hide Your Camera Purchases from Your Spouse?

Do You Hide Your Camera Purchases from Your Spouse?

No.

But I make up fake receipts of camera equipment purchases to show her so that I can cover up my other sinful expenses. :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

Am in the same boat as you. But as I delve in HiFi too that's impossible to hide
them floor standing speakers and just wait for the 'tsunami' to come :bsmilie:

Haha.... I also whack hifi. Boy toys.

:bsmilie: Too many to hide. :bsmilie: Or rather hiding 'em in such a manner would make it even more obvious due to the size of the equipments.

Can't you wear a bigger pants and hide the lenses inside your trousers? :bsmilie:

:bsmilie: That's too difficult a task.

Just tell her lo. say u buy lens 2-3k cannot meh. ur buy a good for nothing LV bag 4-5k onli put wallet and stuff, at least my lens can take memories of me and you together and the pictures i get worth more than that LV bag of urs.

100% she sure dulan 1 :D

When I upgrade my 300mmf4 to 300mmf2.8VR, she can't the different, when she saw my newly purchase 24PCE, she still thot is my old 85PC, just make I don't take out both lenses infront of her.

To her all my AIS 28mmPC, 35mmf1.4, 50mmf1.2 and Vogt 20mmf3.5 are super cheapo lenses because they can't auto focus.:bsmilie:

I think a 18-300mm F5.8 is better than ALL of your lenses put together. :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

All the uncles hanging around in the camera shops say so. :bsmilie:

One lens kills all.

u, ,r asking for a whipping..
or do u enjoy those? :bsmilie:

If you are photgrapher ...tell her that the camera equipment are highly sensitive and need extra handling care. Keep the items in dry cabinets and tell her not to meddle with them. Probably your secret will be safe. Give her a good P&S and probably she'll be happy and leave you alone.:bsmilie:
If you are a fisho with much sought after Capenter or Evergreen rods, keep them in a tube where they are not visible.:bsmilie:
If you are a crazy cyclist like me,intending to buy a breakaway full size mountain bike, then better start asking around how to keep it a secret. It's take a blind not to notice it. I'm googling based on the favourite advice, what, where to get the best ear plug before the bike comes in. My Christmas gift and nightmare !

haha... trying to expose me???

haha i tried this b4... but she just laffed it off and asked me to 'faster pay' haha

A big fat YES.

One time she was chimping with me and she asked me, "Didn't your camera have tilting screen?"
I replied, "Yep.". And then lifted the plastic screen guard slightly.
She looked convinced.

Another time she asked me, "Isn't your camera called A300?"
I answered, "There's no such thing." And then followed it up with a bellowing laugh.
Again, she looked convinced.

It's bad I know but hey, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. :angel::angel::angel:

Hmmm.... I guess I am the 'lucky' few who do not need to hide things from my wife.

Personally, I don't see the need to do that, a relationship is based on trust and etc and etc.... why go to such lengths to hide things... oh well, I guess the topic of trust is a topic by itself... am I opening up a can of crawlies? :embrass:

Guys (and gals), enjoy your photography and spend within your means, then there is no need to hide anything.

Cheers!

a thought just occurred... then anybody here got wife also into photography and she hides purchases from you?

like maybe she's into another brand... then try not to let u know

one day come home you see her with a rangefinder... "cheap german brand one lah.. smaller than your camera... cheaper than your stuff lor" (but actually its an m9 she bought with the savings)

....ok maybe i think too much... should continue study for exams

Since you have married with your wife, why not be factual and direct and tell your spouse ?

I bet your spouse do buy clothings every week or month right ?

so ask the same question back, " you can buy clothes and bags, why cant i buy my camera stuffs ?"
