Thank you. I didnt read that previously, fortunately you point it out so I went to look up FF vs APS-C. Perhaps due to poor skill, more inclined to get a L lens to aid. Seems like you enjoy short wide takes.

No L lens is going to make up for a lack of skill.

Yes i'm more of a wide-angle shooter so my wide lens are priority.
:bsmilie: I've let go of my 50 f/1.8 II for the f/1.2.
But yesterday i've sold my 70-200 f/4 for the IS version which will be coming sometime earlier next year.

Skills yes and so is a gd lens. But a gd lens is not that critical due to the result of post-processing.
Then why you buy L lens?
I buy for its contrast cos i don't do PS, so everything try to get it direct from cam.

but yet again. skills play a rather big role also. give u the best glasses and still shoot soft or even oof pics also no use right ?

i think that it's easier to PP a good picture to an excellent picture than to PP a bad picture to a good picture.
that said, unless you're a professional photographer, you may not have the time to PP most/all of your pictures.

Well i'm still learning as i shoot though, trying to experiment anything i can think of.
But still i don't do PP, it's just me.
I don't recommend buying L lens brothers and sisters.. because Recession is here to stay for a long time.. Save the $$ and help a friend in need. thats my 2 cents. So many MNC companies in Singapore will cut back because motherland already in recession. Our Gov. not even helping local firms to ride out the storm. Next could be you. dun anyhow spend you $$$.

Even in the film days...people do post process their photos....and that is an essential skill of a good photographer. It is just like owning a car, but you refuse to use petrol and choose to push the car around.
