agreed with blur shadow that buyers should also responsibility. the shops might claim that it is the best, or maybe to them it really is the best, but you as a buyer should be an informed buyer.
for example would you blame an honest man if he didn't know maybe when he said a tamron 24-70 is better than canon's? well it is actually better, the third party manufacturers nowadays are, but not many know that.
you should have left the shop and went to check it out again before buying.
that's why eBay is moving to protect the sellers as well. customer isn't always king. a buyer should know full well what he is getting into. trust exists but to protect both seller and buyer, you should check too.
