I have this issue with my M9,my 28mm elmarit at infinity focus,is not aligned when i look through the viewfinder window, its slightly off
however, the output at 100% in my mac is in focus

so is there a need for me to do any adjustments?or should i leave it as it is

hi,

such a simple question, but the answer is, it depends.

if the alignment is slightly off, vertically, then don't worry about it.

if the alignment is off horizontally at infinity, but is accurate on screen, don't worry about it.

if this is off for all your lenses, then you may want to have the M9 aligned.

you see, the issue could either be your M body or the lens. At the widest aperture of the 28mm elmarit at f2.8,
any alignment issues will be masked by the depth of field due to the 28mm focal length as well as the
aperture at f2.8.

the bigger concern is whether you get get issues at at the minimum focus distance, eg. 1m or 0.7m
when shooting at wide aperture from all your lenses, especially fast lenses at f1.4.
